But here I am, ready to travel and filled with so much to say - so much so that I must edit my thoughts and slow down the hamsters running on the wheels in my head! My sisters and I decided that we just absolutely have to visit our grandparents. We have been talking about this for years but there were weddings, bar mitzvahs, home purchases and other things in way. Val visited 2 years ago and I did 4 years ago but for Sharon it has been something like 28 years and 19 years since she saw our grandmother in person. And here we find ourselves at a moment in time where my children can navigate 2 weeks of summer, camp and their activities with out mom around, where my sister with kiddos of her own can leave them to the care of her husband and where my youngest sister can leave the dog to her hubbie's care!
We keep hoping to make a brig trip together - parents, kids and husbands. But it is never the right time and when the right time will come those we may want to see may not be with us. If we wait it may be too late. So here we go -- an epic sista trip in the making....
It is after all the right time.
