Ramat Gan Safari

We had such a great day today - the kids have been missing their friends and play time with other children. But not today!  We connected with Karen and family and her friend Renee and family.  After I made it to Hod HaSharon, we caravaned to Ramat Gan and the Safari.  Navigating the streets and not loosing the other two cars was like playing bumper cars trapped inside a pinball machine.

The Safari is  like the Wild Animal Park I remember going to as a kid - you drive through a big nature preserve and the animals roam freely.   All the cars are instructed to keep all windows closed, not to feed the animals and not to leave the vehicles.  So sure enough, as soon as we made it past the guard, the other cars in our group rolled down their windows and started feeding the zebras and antelope bamba and bissli.  We had Pringles in our car but they werent as popular - these are after all Israeli animals!   We did keep the windows closed as we drove through the double fenced super secure lion's den!

After our animal adventure, we drove into the heart of  Ramat Gan's high tech district for some American style burgers at a place called Moses.   Of course, afterwards, Karen had to by me coffee at Aroma (just like she does on a weekly basis in L.A. at Starbucks)!

We topped the afternoon off with some hang out time at Renee's.  The kids went Israeli and played in the street and went for a walk.  When they crashed, they sat down for some Phineas and Ferb (in Hebrew!) on the HOT network (think DirecTV with everything uncut and un-edited akak HOT!).
